Scope and accountability
Expat Netherlands Hub is published by WT Digital and editorially reviewed by Wilco Terlouw. The site provides general information, not individual legal, tax, immigration, financial, medical or insurance advice.
Source hierarchy
We use the following order for factual checks:
- Dutch legislation, official government pages and responsible public bodies;
- regulators, municipalities and statutory organisations;
- providers’ current documentation, price pages and terms;
- reputable independent research for market context;
- secondary articles only when no suitable primary source exists.
For rules that change by year, the page should name the applicable year and link to the current authority. A number without a source date is treated as vulnerable to change.
Comparisons and commercial content
Comparison order is based on the use case described on the page, including eligibility, functionality, language support, material limitations and current published costs. It is not an audited market-wide ranking unless the page explicitly states the tested universe and test date.
An affiliate relationship may exist with some listed providers and not with others. Affiliate availability does not prove that a service is better. Prices and terms shown in articles are snapshots; provider pages control the current offer. We do not publish automatic star ratings as if they came from product testing or customer-review datasets.
Sponsored articles and advertorials are labelled as such and do not silently become editorial reviews. Paid links use the sponsored link attribute.
Calculators and interactive tools
Tools run in the browser and provide estimates using the assumptions displayed on their page. They may simplify tax credits, social-security status, household composition, permit exceptions or provider underwriting. Results are not government decisions, tax returns, insurance quotations or professional advice.
Before relying on a result, check:
- the tax or benefit year;
- the source date;
- whether your age, residence status and household situation are supported;
- whether the official authority or provider produces a different result.
Update dates
datePublished represents first publication. dateModified and visible update dates should change only after a substantive review or correction, not merely because the site was rebuilt. Future-dated content is excluded from production until its publication date.
Corrections
Corrections can be reported to info@expatnetherlandshub.com. Please include the URL, the disputed passage and preferably a primary source. We prioritise errors that could affect immigration status, taxes, benefits, housing rights, healthcare access or a financial purchase.
Substantive corrections update the relevant page and its modification date. We do not retain claims merely because removing them could reduce conversion.
