Hosting and security logs
The site is delivered through Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process IP addresses, request details, security events and technical logs to deliver and protect the service. Retention and international-transfer safeguards are governed by Cloudflare’s applicable terms and privacy documentation.
Analytics and advertising measurement
Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads measurement are configured with Consent Mode. Analytics storage is denied by default and is enabled only after you choose Accept in the cookie banner. Google may still receive limited consent-state or cookieless measurement signals under its Consent Mode implementation.
Your choice is stored in your browser’s localStorage under cookie-consent. You can change or withdraw it at any time via Cookie settings in the footer; clearing site data has the same effect. No sensitive form content is placed in local storage by the site. The site also uses session storage to remember whether an on-page prompt was dismissed during the current browser session.
WT Digital additionally loads a cookieless traffic counter from beheer.wtdigital.nl/b.js. It receives technical request information needed to count visits and monitor site performance. It is not described as anonymous merely because it does not set an analytics cookie; normal web requests can contain an IP address and browser information.
Forms and email
We do not currently use email sign-up forms on this site. If you email us yourself, we use your address only to reply.
Affiliate links
Clicks on go.expatnetherlandshub.com may generate a click record and can redirect to a provider or affiliate network. The destination may use its own cookies, identifiers and privacy policy. We use our own click records only to evaluate commercial links; commission attribution is done by the network or provider.
Browser-based tools
Calculators and checkers normally run in your browser. Values you type into those tools are not intentionally sent to our server unless a tool or form explicitly states otherwise. Standard hosting and analytics requests still occur as described above.
Legal bases and retention
Depending on the processing, the legal basis is consent, legitimate interests in operating and securing the site, performance of a requested service, or a legal obligation. Data is retained only as long as reasonably needed for the relevant purpose, contractual records, security, accounting or legal requirements. Processor-specific logs and affiliate records follow the relevant provider’s retention schedule.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and data portability, and the right to withdraw consent. You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority. We may need enough information to verify and locate a request.
External services
External providers are independent controllers or processors for their own services. Review their current privacy information before submitting personal or financial information.
